Biometric fingerprints? Am I some kind of criminal?

Fingerprint devices are the most popular form of biometric security solutions are used, small enough to be on a flash drive, mouse, laptop or seamlessly fitted into the dashboard of a car.

Since the systems to improve by leaps and bounds is the basis of identification basically the same, but significantly improved. Standard systems include the sensor (eye) to scan a fingerprint, and a system for storage. The two are usually both on the same device.

Within the database, thestored fingerprint is a "key" for more information about the user. The act of matching the fingerprints can usually the user access or entry. Also, the systems can be significantly improved to allow time for payroll purposes, length, etc.

Companies recognize that they can work more efficiently with such systems exist.

The cost of implementing biometric scanners in large companies still quite expensive and requires much time, planning, resources and general acceptance before and during theImplementation.

In contrast, however, smaller devices in the Home Office target small businesses and home users are now very affordable and because of their level of security very cost effective.

These home and small office products are designed to your hard drive to protect flash memory, laptop / notebook from intruders. These inexpensive non-invasive security measures at the need for the user to recall and periodically update multiple passwords.

TheWorst of fingerprint scanning is its close ties to law enforcement and criminals. The general feeling is one of the "big brother" under the newer system users. The ink was printed there, replacing digital offspring.

How does the digital sampling? It is based on the fact that by the uniqueness of a fingerprint analysis of the so-called "little things" in one fingerprint can be defined.

Trifles sweat pores, distance between the rails, junctions, etc. Aindividual fingerprint is scanned to identify 10 to 26 unique points of the finger, and a unique number assigned to the creation of a "template". Only in this template is stored.

The template can not be developed to provide a reverse fingerprint. This negates the possibility to law enforcement or national security fingerprint access for individuals in all systems. So Big Brother is not really observed.

It is estimated that the probability of two individuals having the sameFingerprint is less than one in a billion.
